The CRM Specialist & Engineer will build and oversee ongoing and custom projects created in Salesforce Marketing Cloud, Snowflake, and other tools to drive revenue and increase subscriber engagement. This role involves developing and implementing custom landing pages, templates, automations, journeys, API calls, SQL queries, as well as CRM campaigns through emails, push notifications, and in-app messages. It will require close collaboration with Marketing, Operations, and Data Engineering teams. The ideal candidate should be highly organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable working in a fast-paced, evolving environment.
Job Responsibilities / Typical Day in the Role
Responsibilities – % of time:
• Email build and execution – 60%
• SFMC backend technical projects – 30%
• Miscellaneous projects – 10%
Responsibilities Listed:
• Maintaining email calendar of CRM sends.
• Process subscriber data to ensure email compliances.
• Analyzing email statistics post-send.
• Help QA with CRM sends.
• Finding new opportunities and strategies to help enhance email engagements through AB testing.
Must Have Skills / Requirements
1) Proficiency in Salesforce Marketing Cloud
a. Years of Experience (3-5+); Email studio, automation, and reports.
2) Well versed in HTML
a. Years of Experience (3-5+); Usage of Photoshop and DreamWeaver.
3) Usage of Microsoft Applications
a. Years of Experience (1-3+); MO365 applications.
Nice to Have Skills / Preferred Requirements
1) Demonstrated experience driving key business KPIs through innovative approaches to project strategy and execution
2) Experience with data analysis in Python or R a strong plus
3) Experience in performance or direct response marketing, ideally within a large consumer-focused brand
4) Interest in movies, games, and comics is a plus
5) Bachelor’s Degree with Major or Minor in Marketing, Business, or related fields is preferred
6) Certifications in SFMC is a plus
7) Able to work PST or MST time.
Soft Skills
1) Demonstrated knowledge of good subscriber data management
2) Understanding of international privacy regulations (GDPR, CCPA, etc.) and how they impact CRM program strategy
3) Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a deadline-driven environment
4) Experience building customer journeys and knowledge of how to leverage lifecycle marketing principals to maximize CRM program ROI
